“My Oral Surgeon recommended HBOT Treatments prior and after a lower molar extraction. I visited the business and came to the conclusion that they were 25% of the price of other local options because the business model is beyond efficient. MD runs the day to day operations on her own; and in her free time she does everything else. I am an avid cyclist so I most often rode my bike down Legacy Trail to the 40 - 2 hour sessions I bought. I ride my bicycle with a lot of real-time health measurements on my handlebar: heart rate, wattage, speed and cadence as examples. I could see the benefits not only in real time but subsequently to all of my 35 - 50 mile club rides where I kept running lower heart rates, higher speeds, cadence and wattage week after week. I do not want to overstate this: the data is incremental gains not exponential but the graph is definitely gradual positive line moving up. The other interesting thing to me was I dropped a 3 x 6' section of plastic plywood directly onto my big toe in a graceful and thankfully not you tube recorded fall from my 6' ladder just prior to treatment. That injury healed in a week and the toenail came off pain and blood free. I just finished my 40th session after meeting with my excellent oral surgeon Dr. Kaufmann earlier in the day. He is highly likely to be referring more patients when necessary to this treatment: it seemed to me that his perception of the cost of HBOT was prohibitive for most patients. When I shared our real out-of-pocket expense on this he made it a point to get his staff on-board with this local option and referral. Sorry for the super-long post but this does further my point - my wife's busy non-retired schedule and her notice of the changes over the last 2 months to her husband has her contemplating whether she might free up 2 hours Friday afternoons for the rest of the year in the adjacent HBOT chamber to see if she me enjoy the same experience. She gave her a COVID and Susan had great knowledge of the surrounding urgent care facilities. We thought we would need night time only coverage but a curve ball was thrown my way and we ended up needing daytime too. Susan got me through the week! She has been with Family First Homecare since they first opened the first office. The owner Doug Drabina is an absolutely rare, compassionate wonderful, man with a huge heart for Heaven right through the end. He is always there for me communication wise as well as in other ways. He always listens to me Doug is an amazing passionate person who truly cares about his clients Jennifer Strawder Lang is right up there for me and my daughter Heaven as well. The nurses Heaven has permanently are a 10 ?☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Godsend including that they make sure they keep her safety and happiness of my child & family first. no pun intended They have been with us through the good and the bad times the roller coaster rides we have fought valiantly through. The on-call after hours manager Melissa is the bomb. They listen to all of your concerns. Also about How you feeling about a nurses care. or If a problem sadly arises they communicate with me Ensuring my daughter's safety & happiness comes first. Sometimes Sadly when you have a child who becomes ventilator dependent. it's become a little bit harder to find the right nurse to care for my daughter overnights. They do their best to staff your shifts. Night shifts were harder for us but the days were always filled with a one of a kind, amazing empathetic, strong, Compassionate, rare loving loving nurse named Lilly. For years now she Has diligently been working with my daughter Heaven. She kept me on the right path. Two other nurses lavette and Marcus they were in the battlefield for Heaven too and they never gave up or gave in regardless of the circumstances. “We have a wonderful aide: Dulce Rodriguez. She is discreet, helpful, smart, energetic, professional and well matched to my husband who is the client. She is a terrific aide. And they did a great job of finding an aide who would work well with him.

My one complaint with Nursing Styles is the stupid and dangerous policy of not allowing the aide to give her phone number to the client. Just today I needed help. I called my husband’s phone and was lucky to get the aide who assists my husband. He doesn’t always answer the phone. She needed to call her office which she did and said they would get back to me. NO ONE CALLEd BACK. I called them 4 times, no answer. This was a time sensitive request. WHen I did get through it was answered remotely in St. Pete, covering for Sarasota person who was in orientation. How can they claim responsiveness when they staff an office with one person who is not available to help when needed. Other agencies do not have this policy and it is much easier to communicate with the caregiver. I urge a review of this policy“
