We have a very large (85-pound!) 2-year old puppy, and after trying another place locally for a long weekend, we knew we needed something better. Instead of calling and getting a quick “she’s fine,” someone is actually writing about her day — what she did, how she played, how she behaved. It makes us feel connected and reassured while we’re away.

The facility itself is spotless. They take so much pride in cleanliness and organization, and they’re more than happy to give tours and walk you through everything. You can tell they run a tight ship in the best way possible.

But the biggest sign of how amazing Kamp K9 is? Our puppy practically explodes with excitement when she sees the staff. She jumps all over them (all 85 pounds of her ?), and they greet her with so much warmth and enthusiasm. That reaction tells us everything we need to know — she feels safe, loved, and happy there.

“In 2008, Dr. Glenn and the EOAH team repaired my Lily's tibial fracture. She was only 6 months old when the injury happened, so the repair and excellent after-care ensured she went on to enjoy so many more adventures than my husband and I could've imagined.

Lily went on to climb mountains, play in creeks, and roadtrip with us from Florida to Utah to Washington. Our sweet girl lived to be fourteen years young this year, but we were still not ready when the moment came to say good-bye.

I got set up on an affordable care plan for Winnie to be able to have her bloodwork and exams on a regular schedule every year, and Winnie had a dental cleaning and two extractions. The facility is clean, the staff is so kind to my baby kitty, and they went the extra mile to make sure I felt safe leaving her with them every step of the way. They even went as far as following up the morning after her dental cleaning to see how her night went after anesthesia - attention to detail on lock! “The K9 Training team here is amazing!! From the owners to the trainers, they are all such great people who love to help dog owners. We brought our 1 year old German shepherd mix in who was very anxious and skittish. He is a rescue who was terrified of all loud noises and any object he didn’t immediately recognize. He would cower at strangers when they came around and bark at people who came to the house until he recognized them. The team here took our Teddy in and taught him so many things! He came out a different dog! After showing us the ropes on how to be a proper handler, Teddy has trust in us and has more freedom than ever. He still has all the same cute and silly traits, but now has some new awesome skills!

We never had experience with e-collars, so we were hesitant at first but we admit now that it is an amazing addition to his training. Chris let us put the collar on our arms and feel the tens unit ourselves upon pick up because he knew I was uncertain about it. They talked us through the levels that Teddy used while in training and the level that he is normally at on the collar. They made sure that we were confident as handlers as they know that’s how Teddy will trust us.

Now, Teddy knows and loves his commands. He knows what to do when it’s time to sit, stay, place, and heel and you can tell he is confident with his commands. His favorite being the “free” command (of course!) and his recall when he is on free is immediate and amazing. We loved getting to see the videos and pictures of Teddy on their social medias and we loved getting to see him trust his trainers in the YouTube video.

My husband and I cannot thank the K9 Training Academy more. Teddy has freedom, confidence, and trust in us and he is living his best life now! Thank you all! We definitely recommend them!!“
