Find another place to go! You only see doctor 1 time, then only P.A.! Medication errors galore, not looking at your allergies, it goes on and on. I can't trust someone to do an epidural, when I have only seen them once, and their staff is consistently making mistakes!
1. judgmental, snobby, management 2. not in compliance with several state regs 3. caught defrauding the feds of millions 4. Herding patients through like cattle now 5. Unsecured drug testing, lax protocols 6. appts Never accurate, hours delayed 7. founding physician has left When I first started going there, they were attentive to the patient's needs, and we're excellent in every way. They quickly were able to find solutions to some of my pain issues. There were goals set for future treatments and those goals were reached over time. I was a patient for over 10 years. I left because I felt my life was in danger. That's how serious it had become. They would short your medicine every month then if you had one or two pills that you weren't supposed to have left over, they would count them against you. And short you even more the next visit or make you come back early or tell you you were hoarding your pills or that you had a drug problem. The whole staff attitude changed when the management changed. It's like overnight this new female practice manager/doctor took over, and suddenly every patient there was a junkie just seeking medicine . A lot of patients were suffering needlessly and many patients were being taken off of their medication without being given a chance to come off slowly which means they were being forced to go through withdrawals. That is an unsafe practice and is close to being malpractice.. When I first started going to the office, appointments were on time the office staff was friendly everyone knew your name and you could chat with most of the people in the office.. 10 years later, when you went to your appointment, you could barely get in the door to the waiting room to sign in and then you usually had to go wait outside because waiting room was so full appointment could be an hour and a half to two hours late, because they had overbooked nobody in the office staff did much talking everybody was grumpy or busy or were just ready for the day to be over. I really feel sorry for the staff because you could tell over time, it went from a great place to work. to a dreaded and hostile work environment. As a patient, we only had to be there for a little while but the staff had to be there all day long. If you can go somewhere else, I would encourage you to do so. Dr. Formoso, is a great doctor or at least he was until he got caught up in the making money business of Pain Mgmt..
I don't recommend using Coastal. My doctor sent a referral to them and they didn't accept my insurance. My attorney office contacted them and they still didn't want to see me. What I don't get is why did you need a referral in the first place when it could have been paid for through a case. Then if not can see me right away the least you could have done was call me to schedule talk about rubbish ?
