The team at the Downtown Miami YMCA is awesome. I was visiting from out of town, and they were so warm and welcoming. Their Y was also wonderful! So clean, the equipment all worked, so many options, and not overcrowded. I will definitely stop in there again the next time I am in town.
Great value gym, got a couples membership for $80 or a single for $60.. about $5 joining fee. Loads of really good equipment, all well maintained and cleaned well. Sinks on the men's locking rooks could probably use a bit of tlc.Good vibe here, they have a few rules here which I think keeps all the bad attitude people away.First time here, to find it head towards the elevators in the square.. next to the escalators..use the touch screen to find the YMCA floor.
The group classes are excellent, with great instructors. It's always a plus to have a comfortable and clean workout area to exercise in. The personal training packages are very affordable, Angie is the best, her coaching and clases are amazing. I'm happy to be part of the YMCA. There is nothing to envy in those expensive, fancy places if you want a good workout and exercise discipline.
