However, some guests have experienced issues with check-in and check-out, including disinterested staff and delays. Room sizes can be a concern, with some guests finding them tiny and poorly designed. The building shows signs of age, with some fixtures, like water dripping from the ceiling in the lobby, and the overall appearance feeling a bit outdated. Despite these hiccups, the hotel remains highly recommended, offering a beautiful location and attentive service that makes many visitors eager to return.
Staying at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach absolutely made our honeymoon. We had a setback and because of weather our flight was cancelled and we missed being able to get on our cruise. So we pivoted an decided to stay at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach and we're so glad we did. All of the staff we interacted with was fantastic, helpful and welcoming but the Club Lounge staff (Blair, Ben, Luis and Alexander) were absolutely phenomenal. They heard our story and surprised us with an upgrade. They were always so kind and welcoming too whenever we came into the club lounge. My husband and I stayed at the south beach ritz for a weekend baby moon and had amazing service. Upon checking in we told the front desk staff of our baby moon and was delightfully provided a stuffed lion and later a bag, baby onesie, and child slippers that was sent to our room. We decided to upgrade our room (paid upgrade) for an ocean view but found the view to be worth it, we overall had a great experience. The hotel is very kid friendly and they had multiple non-alcoholic beverage options including a coffee bar and business center. Would stay again at this ritz!
We enjoyed the beach the most during our stay. It’s long, wide, and covered with beautiful, soft white sand — truly a highlight of the property. The hotel also has a large swimming pool, which is a great place for guests to relax.
Another thing we enjoyed was the animal visits on Sundays. The small, gentle animals were very cute and made the experience fun for everyone, especially for kids and taking photos.
Our room was comfortable and had a great view. However, there was an incident involving a housekeeping staff member that unfortunately caused some disappointment during our stay.
