About Lapis Spa
Lapis, Spa at Fontainebleau is one of the best spas in Miami, offering a comprehensive treatment menu and luxurious amenities. Guests can indulge in the Chakra balancing massage and Lapis hammam bath, as well as top-notch manicures and pedicures. While the spa may have some operational kinks due to its recent opening, it is still worth a visit for its incredible pool and facilities, though the cost can be on the higher side. However, some guests have noted that the facilities are not as well maintained anymore, and there have been issues with certain amenities, such as the rain room not working during multiple visits. The spa's entrance and robe area have also been described as chaotic and unorganized, with a lack of available sandals and insufficient time allowed for guests to change. Despite these concerns, many have praised the massage therapists, particularly mentioning Leda and Melanie for their personalized and effective treatments. Guests have shared positive experiences, with some finding their massages to be exceptionally relaxing and beneficial. The spa does offer a nice area with refreshments, but cleanliness in common areas has been noted as needing improvement. Overall, while Lapis, Spa at Fontainebleau has its drawbacks, it still provides a memorable experience for those seeking indulgence and relaxation in Miami.
The service wasn’t bad, my massage itself was just okay. The amenities just aren’t there. No champagne, no delicious snacks, no viral rain showers. The main pool and pool on the men’s side was nice. However, the women’s side was much smaller and the hot tub did not work.
Photos are not allowed & I agree! You want to be in the moment. I am from Canada & my husband had to meet with clients so I tagged along. He booked me a massage & later after looking at what other treatments were offered he booked me a facial, as per my request. I have health issues & chemo does a number on your skin. The ladies at the spa took such good care of me & I will be forever grateful. I will definitely go back when we return to Miami. Melanie(Masters massage): she gave me the greatest massage & I was in/out of sleep. The hot oil/rocks felt AMAZING! She has magic hands because I left with no pain! Aesthetician: Lisa gave me my facial(better than botox). She was...read full review
I went to get a Swedish massage using the Miami spa month deals with a friend. To begin, I had to park my car in the valet area and hunt for a valet worker, and when I found one, I gave them my key. The spa validates your parking for up to 5 hours so instead of paying $60 for valet, you pay $16 if you get the spa to validate the ticket. The spa entrance is lovely, however it did not feel very welcoming. We went to the area to get our robes/sandals and get taken to the massage area and it was very chaotic and seemed unorganized. They had no sandals available. They didn't allow time for me to change and leave things in the locker rooms and rushed me over to the massage waiting area with 10-15 min prior to my massage. Leda completed my massage and she truly personalized it according to my needs. She applied decent pressure. She targeted really tense areas and explained to me things that can help me improve recovery and relaxation. Extremely professional! I would highly recommend being massaged by her. On the other hand, my friend purchased the same exact massage and didn't have a great experience and her therapist did not apply much pressure nor make the effort to personalize her massage. We checked out the steam room and it didn't have anything special nor smell like eucalyptus. The jet pool was nice and there were both male and female access to that. I didn't see signs for toilets and showers and it was confusing as to where things were, but eventually I found where everything was. I like an area they had with tea, water, orange slices, apples, banana chips, and nuts. I didn't like that the floor in that area was full of crumbs though. I kept stepping on crumbs as I was walking by. Reserving a massage gets you access to the pool, beach and hotel for the day. I truly love the great work the massage therapist Leda did, however, I don't know if I would return to the spa due to the amenities and chaos.
