We stayed overnight Dec 27 on our Cape Dory Trawler 28. We were the only boat there. When there was a problem with a tripped breaker a city worker came immediately to fix it. There are no facilities unless the library across the street is open, but water and electricity is all we needed. The area is beautiful and easily walkable with our dogs.
This is a smart town. About 8 free docks first come first serve. Can stay free three nights with power and water. Stores close by and great farmers market. No wake zone. I will definitely stay here again
This place is a GREAT place for boaters crossing the big O, or coming by for any reason. We use Glades Boatyard and its 8 mi. out. Captiva, if you are listening, loose the un friendly attitude. Cruisers aren't bad people.
