I had gone a couple months without a cut, because my last barber at a privately owned shop left my hair uneven and I was looking for a place that could cut with scissors not clippers, so I didn't end up looking like I had just joined the military. I didn't want a "fade". I had searched on-line for Great Clips but this location on SS Blvd. didn't pop up or I didn't notice it but I happened to be going to Publix and cut through all the shops between Larry's Subs and Copelands and found this location at 4372 Southside Blvd. Although it was less than an hour before closing time Dawn was working and had no clients, so I got a shampoo and cut. Got my daughter's haircut today and I liked the stylist very much. I believe Emma is here name and she did okay. I had to fix a lot on my younger daughter's hair when I got home and a few things on my older daughter. I believe she is a newer stylist and her personality made the trip worth it. She's very pleasant. Her colleague however is very unprofessional. She seemed annoyed that my husband kept going out to the car but even worse, she began a conversation with a young man in her chair about marijuana carts and several other drug related topics. I was apprehensive coming in as a first time customer..needed a haircut for a wedding in a time squeeze, and now have been back 3x. Heaven, the stylist took my request , went with it and I now have a reliable, regular (and fast!) spot for an affordable haircut. 5 stars for convenience, quality, and will continue to return as long as she is working.
