“For as long as I can remember, my father wanted to be cremated. When he handed us a card with the funeral home’s information on it after he got sick, I tucked it in my wallet. From the moment I called to set up the appointment the day after he died, until we drove away from the cemetery, I feel like we were treated like family. It turns out my father had arranged everything for himself and for my mother when her time comes. And the process of making the final arrangements could not have been more comforting. It turns out he decided to be buried in a casket at a military cemetery. Every single member of the Boyd Panciera funeral home treated us like one of their own. The viewing was absolutely heartbreaking but yet beautiful at the same time. We could’ve easily filled the room with 500 of his friends and family, but we chose to keep it intimate with just the nine of us. They even allowed us to drive by his home of 40 years with his casket to say one last goodbye. Instantly, it was clear that Captain Dawn is an extremely kind, compassionate person of integrity and she had my full confidence.
