“For a year, our beloved 12-year-old coonhound’s life was extended through cancer treatment at the UF small animal hospital. He passed away three weeks ago. Only two weeks after his death, our sweet little indoor kitty stopped eating, so we returned to UF for testing. The results were devastating: advanced cancer in and around her spleen and kidneys. Dr. LaVigne and her staff were outstanding in their gentle, compassionate care of our kitty in the challenging last days of her life. They also were kind and thoughtful to us as we dealt with the terrible unexpected loss of yet another loved one.“
