I had to make an emergency visit with Braden River animal hospital. Let me say that 5 stars aren’t enough. My dog was comfortable during her visit, Jasmine was phenomenal. “Just coming to a specialty is concerning enough as you know that your pet is in dire need of help most of the time. To be honest, I was scared to death that it would/ could be the worst possible outcome. As soon as I walked into the clinic I was greeted with the most kind and caring individuals possible. It only improved when meeting Dr Levine. I was instantly put at erase with his caring attitude. He took the time to explain all possible treatments and how we should proceed. I never felt rushed and everyone was more than willing to take the time and answer (there were many) all my questions. I couldn’t be more confident in their ability to take care of my pets needs. I can’t say enough good about this clinic. Highly recommend. It also helps that they don’t charge an arm and a leg for care! Keep doing what you are doing Dr Levine!“

“Staff was very nice. Appointment was right on time, no long waits. Dr Kirsch was wonderful, explained all the options for our older Chihuahua, Ben. Dr Kirsch is not quick to recommend surgery as the only option. He determines the needs of the dog with the quality/type of life that the dog needs. He also looks at the medical history of the dog and balances all options with the safety of the dog in mind.“
“On Christmas night upon returning home after a very long day at my mom's, celebrating the holiday, my Beagle (at 14 years old) decided she would attack the automatic, dog food feeder that we purchased a few months ago. Upon impact of hitting the ground, it cracked open and she decided to eat almost every kernel of food that was in there :( she ended up with severe stomach bloat, and we were scared to death! after calling two other ER vet offices in our area. The other quotes that we got were over $1000 just to walk in the door and have x-rays done (that didn't include any kind of treatment plan) I called Animal ER of university Park and spoke with Rebecca (she is a vet tech) and explained what happened and asked for a vague quote and she said our office visit is $100 and for one abdominal x-ray to make sure it's just food float is $125, so I walked out of there at $225 versus well over $1000 at any other place and Dr. Holifield was fantastic. He was compassionate, and he was conservative with his care. I cannot thank them enough for saving my dog and saving my wallet. I will recommend you to everybody I can, always! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!“

My dog began having some health challenges over the summer, and while they were very difficult to navigate and deal with, I always felt informed of the most practical options for treatment up until his very last day. People often forget that Veterinarians have an extremely difficult job of matching owner expectations for treatment/ recommendations, price points, and emotions with an animal that cannot simply communicate it's needs. I feel grateful to have been under their care during the tail end of my dog's life.“
