“We had trepidation knowing one day we would need to address replacing the original steep roof with multiple dormers, 2 chimneys and a Yankee Gutter on our 113 year old Victorian home. (A yankee gutter is a drainage system built inconspicuously into the roof so it is not visible along the roofline of the house.) The roof had the original cedar shakes with 2 layers of asphalt shingles. To bring it up to code, the ENTIRE roof would have to be removed exposing the interior of the house. THANK GOD FOR SUNDANCE, LLC. Our positive experience started with Fred, our sales associate who clearly explained the roofing replacement process and addressed all our questions and concerns and showed us pictures of similar historic roofing jobs Sundance did in the past that required the same approach. Fred came back with an extremely fair price to complete a complex roofing project. This complexity was added by the yankee gutter system that needed to be structurally enhanced and improved with an EPDM rubberized solution. Once we signed our contract, the project was handed over to a team of Sundance experts who proactively communicated next steps and provided updates leading up to the day the roofing team arrived. On the day of the project, the roofing team assessed where the debris would drop and physically removed anything that could potentially be damaged and then put down lots of tarps to catch the debris. Once the roof was on, the team cleaned up everything and moved back items to where they belonged and then sweeped the property with a magnet to collect any fallen metal objects. Sundance took pictures of the entire roofing project which was amazing to see. We are very happy and grateful to Sundance for such a positive experience during a major home improvement. The final test will be to see how the roof does with a day of steady rain and strong winds. Once we experience that, we will post a followup review.
