They come out a couple of times per year for a maintenance contract and have done other hvac work for us over the past couple of years. Jay came out and checked the system. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Unfortunately, he didn't have the part he needed on his truck. He made sure he could get his hands on the part and scheduled me for the next day (today). He called me at 0830 to tell me he could be here by 0930 instead of noon. I really appreciated the advance notice. He was here by 0915 and got to work right away. Jay has been here a few times over the past few years. Very pleasant and respectful. Considering the recent weather and I'm sure the customer demands, he was in good spirits. Yesterday, I followed him around as he did his diagnosis. He explained what he was doing, what he was looking for and what he found. Not easy working with a customer shadowing you, but I'm curious, not trying to be a supervisor. He takes it all in stride. He has never seemed bothered by my curiosity. I've always believed that it's easy to be good at your job. Just do what's right, and they did. They just did their jobs with courtesy, care, and pride. It's not easy, though, to respond well to problems when they arise, or to go above and beyond what is expected. They also checked the operation of our attic fan, and they identified a problem with one of our smoke detectors. The only problem we had after the installation was that the rolling shelf no longer fit in the area. What did they do? They came back out within hours after I let them know, and restructured the pipes so it would fit again. No problem at all for this consummate group of professionals.”
