The body is (unfortunately...) more complicated than that. I started seeing Dr. Hale because I didn't know what else to do to help with my pain. I also started seeing an osteopath at the same time. Also, I am not an athlete.
Pros / cons of each form of doctor I have seen:
- pro PT: you'll get a very basic understanding of what you injured
- con PT: the PT system in the US prioritizes quantity over quality so i never saw my numerous PTs more than 15 min.
- pro osteopath: most take insurance (aka: it's affordable weekly)
- con osteopath: the doctor spends 20 min pressing his fingers into your muscles without much movement. It does offer relief, but only for a few hours
- pro sports massage: Dr. Hale goes waaay deeper and offers significant relief that lasts several days. He also told me which book to order for daily stretches, which immediately make my shoulder feel better after i do them (ok yes they do take 15+ min)
- con sports massage: I understand why it's expensive, but it is very expensive. I don't have the money to go regularly :/
- con sports massage: the 1st session is just pain bc he releases years or months of tension. Each session gets signficantly better after
Hope this helps others considering sports massage! I highly recommend Dr. Hale :)“

When Rob wasn’t available, Josh would expertly pick up the Pace and keep the improvement going. Highly professional and personalized service, strongly recommend.“

I have back pain that flares up and his acupuncture and cupping combo will ease it within hours. He’s never once asked me to leave a review but he deserves it, he’s a gem in the city.“

Super easy to get to! Cleanliness: A+ The space is immaculate. Private rooms are well-prepared with fresh treatment clothes. I was impressed by how meticulously sanitized the tables and equipment were. Treatment: A++ Sean is nothing short of a miracle worker! I've received acupuncture, stim, and cupping treatments, and his expertise shines through. He has effectively treated a torn rotator cuff, bulging discs, a thumb injury, and a grade-2 ankle sprain--all issues I thought I'd have to live with after months of PT and steroid injections elsewhere. Sean's approach gave me real relief. I'm definitely going to stick with BeAti for any future needs. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking effective, top-notch care.“
