“I called Fairfield to inquire about replacing or re-etching my great-grandmother's grave stone. It was over 100 years old and very hard to read. Don Foley is whom I spoke with. He suggested before spending a lot of money on a stone, that I wash the stone. I thought he was crazy. He gave me specific instructions to clean the stone. As I live about 8 hours away from the cemetery, I didn't get the opportunity to wash the stone until a year later. I followed Don's instructions and IT WORKED. The stone is now legible and I saw no damage to the stone.Pics are before and after.I am forever grateful to Don and this company for their expertise and knowledge. I would highly recommend this company.“

“I am glad my parents chose to be interned here. It is always pleasurable to come and visit, especially in the good weather. They are laid to rest in the mausoleum wall in the front, by the brook that runs along the road. It greatly enhances a spiritual joining with them I never fail to feel.Recently the original Stew Leonard, founder of the regionally famous dairy/grocery stores, was interred at Willowbrook. He is in a family mausoleum close to my parents' crypts, and I look forward to seeing him the next time I go. I recently learned that Mort Walker, the creator of the "Beetle Bailey" comic strip, is also interred here. I will look for his grave during future visits as well. While both Leonard and Walker can make claims to significant fame, the most famous person to be interred anywhere in Westport at this time appears to be Brett Somers, who is at the Unitarian Church Memorial Garden. Actor Paul Newman and artist Bernard Fuchs, possibly Westport's two most famous long-time residents (Brett Somers didn't spend most of her life there) both were cremated, and their remains have not been interred anywhere. Joanne Woodward still lives in Westport, so perhaps when she passes, she and PN will be interred together.“

“Harding Funeral Home is a small family run business. We have met with both John and Neil on many occasions and we have always been treated with the utmost respect and care. Their guidance and support during very trying times has always been appreciated. Most importantly, we know that both mom and dad were given the dignity that they deserved on the path to their final resting place.Harding was attentive and available at all times and helped us navigate the difficult decisions we had to make. As a matter of fact, they have treated our entire family as one of their own and allowed us to customize arrangements and special requests and work on our timeline. We would have no hesitation in recommending and using Harding and their very capable staff, should the need arise.“
