This place is awesome. It’s everything you want a barber shop to be: great service, conversation and atmosphere. Reminds me of my childhood. I never feel rushed and there’s always a game on the tv to help pass the time. Due to Covid you do need to make a reservation but they will always do their best to accommodate you.
I've been coming here for 15 years and would even make the commute in when I lived in NYC. Bernard is a total pro, takes his time with customers and has never given me a less than stellar cut. It's a New Haven staple for a reason.
Got our toddler’s third haircut here. The lady (daughter of the owner) was lovely! She let us come in after the store was closed so we had a relaxed environment. She was super patient and absolutely pleasant to chat with. We (mother and father) plan to come back for our own haircuts. Would highly recommend this place.
