About Freedom School of Martial Arts
The Freedom School of Martial Arts is a karate school and self-defense training school founded in 1986. It has three foundational rules: 1) Pay Attention, 2) Work Hard, 3) Be Kind. Children learn focus, fitness, and respect for self and others, while adults in the self-defense program gain greater confidence for emergency situations. The school offers a "Fight Like A Girl" workshop that provides a safe and friendly atmosphere, led by a kind and knowledgeable instructor. The sense of family among instructors and students helps new students feel accepted and progress. The lessons learned at the Freedom School are valuable throughout students' lives, fostering a love for martial arts that is passed on to the next generation. The school is recognized for the incredible level of instruction provided by the team, with flexible class schedules and open mat sessions that make it easy for families to participate. Students, like those in the 6-11 group for the dojo rats, benefit from physical activity while learning important life lessons and gaining confidence, discipline, and skills that will serve them well beyond karate.
Pronominal school. The instructors and students have generated a sense of family and really help new students feel accepted and progress. As an older adult, I have found there is a great balance between pushing an individual to do their best while also helping to prevent injuries and adapting to limitations due to aging.
I have a 9 year old. He absolutely loves Freedom School of Martial Arts and looks forward to going to class. All the instructors are amazing! My favorite parts are the encouragement to do your best, be respectful and kind, and with that the kids are taught how to look someone in the eye and give a respectful handshake. Each instructor makes sure to connect with my son in some fashion at each lesson. I appreciate the integrity and skills being taught here! Good job Freedom School!
Absolutely wonderful place! Loving, caring people teaching in a style that makes ALL kids feel accepted and encouraged.
