“I am a special case because I have a congential condition called Keratoconus which turns my corneas into a cone (shape)...literally! After a while, the vision gets to a point that corrective gear (glasses or contact lens) will not work and Corneal transplant is the only thing that works!

I got a corneal transplant in September of 2021. Dr. Fish is my surgeon. He is an excellent doctor. He was diligent with my follow up care. I have been going to him even after the surgery in 2021 because like with any transplant, the risk of your body rejecting the graft never goes away. Luckily, thanks to Dr. Fish, it is stable.

Finding a good doctor, that too a specialist that can deal with extremely rare cases like mine isn't easy but when you do, they are worth their weight in gold! Dr. Fish, is not just good, he is excellent! I highly recommend him.“

The folks at Optical Matters are so great at their job. Dr. Gosling is personable and has taken care of my eyes for years. Dana made the frame selection SO easy for me...she knows her designs well. Anyway--instead of being a chore, this is a pleasant place to visit AND I got great help in picking frames out.

Addendum: a big shout out to Lisa Rollins at Optical Matters for her amazing customer service. My frames broke and I needed new lenses in my Rx sunglasses before a cycling trip. Within 10 days, Lisa helped me find my discontinued frames, changed out my lenses and expedited my sunglass order. Honestly, such amazing customer service is rare these days. Just another reason why I love this optometrist office...Dr. Gosselin AND amazing staff.“
