I have been going to the HIIT classes at this gym for about 6 weeks now and the results are incredible! I actually have arm muscles now... I can lift more weight than before. The coaches really want to make sure you are doing each exercise the right way to prevent any injury. Each class is different so it's always exciting. I love the different challenges. I've belonged to a lot of gyms - January comes around I find a good deal and 2-3 months later I'm bored of it because I'm not seeing the scale drop or legit results... well here I am only 6 weeks later and I AM seeing awesome results. Give it a try! You won't regret it!
I'm so happy that I decided to give this family-owned gym a try. I was looking for a gym close to my house as my Peloton is basically a drying rack for laundry these days. I kept driving by Base 6 and decided to give them a-go since I like HIIT classes and I workout better in group classes than alone. It's been almost a year since I've been going to Base 6. The classes offer a lot of variety. You are able to push yourself as much as you want or take it easy if you're having an off-day. I am probably one of the least coordinated people and I never feel embarrassed when the entire class is working out on their left side and I'm on my right b/c I can't follow direction. The coaches are very knowledgeable regarding the exercises and correct your form when needed. They also try to push me but know when to back off when I give them the stank eye. The class formats can sometimes be a little hard to follow, but the coaches offer great direction and explanation of the format. The owner, Brian, does a good job keeping the routine engaging and fun. There are always themed classes around the holidays and group challenges. There are familiar faces any time I show up to work out which makes you feel like a small part of a community. Even if you're afraid of HIIT- like classes, give them a shot, you may enjoy it.
It has a great community and gym. If you are looking for all levels and being part of a community, this is your place. They are always looking for new ways to challenge you and are so supportive in your fitness journey.
