We, and our dogs, love Cottonwood. The dogs love that they get to play outside with the other dogs who are in doggie daycare — they always come home tired from playing so much (versus other places where they stay cooped up in a crate all day). The staff really get to know each dog and truly care about them. Every time I drop off or pick up they comment about how much they enjoy our dogs. And that was evident this Thanksgiving weekend when we were away and they noticed that our elderly dachshund was not acting normally. I adopted a very anxious and timid beagle a couple months ago who was very nervous around other people and not super interested in other dogs from his past. We needed a place to board him this summer for two quick trips so I called around a couple local kennels and found that Cottonwood Kennels took the time to listen to our story and reassured me he would be fine in boarding. We took him for a trial day and daycare days, and since then he has truly been a changed dog. They even say he is a success story and every time I pick him up from daycare or his most recent boarding, they tell me how much he has changed. I genuinely feel good bringing my dogs here for daycare and boarding when needed. The owners and staff genuinely care about the animals in their care, and the farm atmosphere can’t be beat.
