I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Feldman, Jessica, and the entire team at the Veterinary Behavioral Center. They have really helped my cat, who has struggled with severe anxiety and fear-based aggression for most of his life. He would only allow me to handle and care for him. Even my husband was afraid of him, and cat-sitting for travel was basically impossible. I couldn’t be away for more than a couple of nights without my cat becoming stressed and experiencing flare-ups of his inflammatory bowel disease, which landed him in the ER and hospital multiple times.

I can't say enough great things about the Veterinary Behavior Center. When we started at VBC, our dog, Olive, was afraid of any human she didn't know, and would bark at them incessantly to get them to go away. The team at VBC came up with a thoughtful plan to reduce Olive's stress by a) trying out a sequence of medications to see what Olive responded to best, and b) then gradually and systematically exposing her to new humans and their common movements (Olive weirdly hated it when people stood up from a sitting position) by associating the stimuli with positives (sound markers and treats). We sought out the support of the Vet Behavior Center after a reactive incident with our dog, June. What we had hoped was just puppy behavior was clearly becoming something more complicated, and we were out of our depth. A few weeks later, we had our first appointment with Dr. Feldman, who made us feel understood, validated, and most importantly, like our girl was in caring, knowledgeable hands. A year later, she still has not had a single incident. The combination of training and medication recommended to us has done wonders.
