Clinica Family Health & Wellness (People's Clinic) has been serving the community for over 30 years, providing essential healthcare despite facing significant challenges. The clinic is known for its caring and knowledgeable practitioners who listen to patients’ concerns and offer detailed treatment plans, including referrals to specialists such as occupational therapy and counseling. Many patients appreciate the attentive and friendly staff, noting positive experiences with their primary providers and feeling well cared for during visits. However, recent management decisions have negatively impacted the clinic’s service quality. The removal of the patient portal, which previously allowed patients to access test results, medical records, and message practitioners, has led to difficulties in managing health information and delays in receiving test results. Patients now face challenges making appointments, retrieving referrals, and obtaining test results without the portal, often having to make multiple phone calls or experience unhelpful voicemail systems. Many practitioners have left, resulting in less continuity of care and some patients receiving lower standards of treatment. While the clinic continues to provide good care at the practitioner level, operational issues have caused frustration and a decline in overall service quality. Despite these setbacks, patients who have experienced the providers’ attentiveness and dedication often remain loyal, appreciating the healthcare they receive amid the ongoing organizational struggles.
Their providers can't read a vaccination schedule so we were required to go back a week after a regular appointment. We scheduled that appointment for 845, so we checked in at 845 at which point they told us our appointment was actually at 9, they just add in a 15 minute buffer because apparently wasting our time is okay. A half hour later we still hadn't be seen. Somehow as soon as they start their day they are already behind. I'm not convinced this clinic is administratively or medically competent and I wouldn't trust them if you have other options.
Tasked with an impossible patient load and overwhelming financial burdens, Clinica keeps chugging along helping and healing the community for over 30 years, in my case. Every business has it's ups and downs, faves and not-so faves. Over the decades that is certainly the case for me but I am loyal and presently feel very well cared for by Dr. Jean Lu and her team
100% agree with the poster below. I was 2 minutes late fo rmy appointment (evidently I was 17 minutes late for the check in time) . The waiting room had one person in it. I was told I could wait, potentially all day, for a cancellation or reschedule. The next available appt is 3 weeks away. I expressed that there was some level of urgency to my appt and asked if an exception could be made. She said no but, again,
