I arrived 30 minutes ahead of my appointment time and she applied a topical anesthesia to lessen the initial lidocaine effect (which only lasts a few seconds, but seems like an eternity to someone with zero pain tolerance). Gave me a squeeze ball, calmly had me relax, breathe slowly and steadily, close my eyes, and it was done!
