“I just met Celio and feel like I've known him for years. This gentleman is a professional and a rare commodity. He's not afraid to work hard and is a compassionate human being.I've been dealing with pain all over my body for quite some time (Years). Sometimes it gets better and sometimes it's worse but always there. (I've gotten other massages, but something was missing, I think I found it)His techniques where on point and I could have not left his office happier. “I have sever case of tinnitus and seen several TNT doctors who had basically told me “ nothing can be done live with it”. I went to se doctor Dennis Elliot based on my son’s recommendations. Balance Within staff and doctor Elliot gave me hope- I have only been to 5 sessions, but the intensity has gone from 8 to 5 ( 0-10 scale). Doctor Elliot is empathetic, kind, and knowledgeable. I had to do an MRI recommended by a neurologist, and since I am claustrophobic, I went to see doc Elliott prior to the procedure and I was relaxed and did the MRI, and of course my wife and son supported me through out. I can’t say enough about Balance Within and doctor Elliot and will inform people who suffer like me to try acupuncture. Doc Eliot mentioned to get the max results I’d need to do min of 2 sessions/ week, but he never was pushy and only stated his experience with similar cases. His honesty, bed side manners is outstanding. He even called me to see how I did in the MRI today and that in my book is a sign of a great doctor. I will certainly continue with additional treatments and i owe the regain of quality of life to doctor Elliot/ staff and everyone at Balance within. Thank you from bottom of my life“

“I was in bad shape last night(1/22/24). I hurt my neck-that's a long story-but the right side of my neck from the right scapula up the neck into my skull was frozen, locked and very painful. It was very dangerous driving because I couldn't turn my head in either direction. I almost never will get a massage, spend money on these sorts of things, but it was either that or go to St Johns ER and wait 5 hours for a steroid shot and muscle relaxants. I googled massage in Santa Monica and found JWYK. I called her and told her my situation. It was last minute and early evening but she took me in. I only wanted to pay a certain amount so we agreed to 30 minutes and just focused on the multiple muscle spasms and the lock. She went above and beyond, she did at least 40 to 45 minutes. It was painful at the end and painful when I got home. But it was a different kind of pain. Kind of like a soreness. She advised heat and cold when I got home, which I did. Woke up this morning and right side completely unlocked, spasms gone, can turn my head in both directions and 90% of the pain gone. She is an EXCELLENT massage therapist in that in my mind she accomplished the impossible.“
