We had a great experience at Burton Creek. First, the receptionist Teryl took the time on the phone with me to really describe what was included in the consult. Then, when we got to our appointment, Dr. Kidd spent 40+ minutes with us and really worked hard to help us understand why our dog is limping. I don't think I've ever felt so paid attention to at a vet clinic before. He patiently listened to us, had reveiwed all our xrays and records beforehand, and helped lay out our options. We'll definitely be back as regular clients. Highly recommend.
A few weeks ago, my dog and I were in a car accident in Truckee. I work in veterinary medicine elsewhere and needed a local vet who could assess my dog. From the first phone call through the appointment the staff were communicative, responsive, compassionate, and helpful. They got me in within an hour of my initial call, even though they had a full schedule and one of their vets was out of the office. We saw Dr. Buckton who was personable and helpful on top of doing an excellent and thorough examination. I am incredibly grateful to the staff here and highly recommend Burton Creek!
Amazing people! Incredibly talented at what they do.
We were referred to Dr. Kidd by our GP who believed our dog, Harvey, had torn his ACL. We were able to schedule a TPLO surgery very quickly. However, when we met for a consult, Dr. Kidd immediately doubted it was an ACL. After putting him under and checking for movement, we got a call to discuss whether to biopsy or CT was the next step. We ended up doing the biopsy and the result was a mast cell tumor. Thankfully, it was low grade. Dr. Kidd patiently went through the options and we decided to amputate. We are two weeks post op and he is doing great!! No more pain and hopefully got ahead of any spread.
