“Dr.Kidd was compassionate and took his time to talk with me about the procedure. I can’t say enough good things about him and the support staff. We were referred by my regular vet, my dog needed life saving emergency surgery and they were able to fit us in. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have been able to afford the other estimate for surgery we got at another vet. They saved my best friend I am forever grateful and will recommend them to everyone. I’ve been an RVT for over 20yrs and I could tell these people were special and truly cared about their patients.Thank you again!”

“Dr. Ghuman / Agate Bay Animal Hospital is the best! My whippet was severely attacked at the dog park in South Lake Tahoe on a Sunday afternoon of a holiday weekend. Dr. Ghuman agreed to treat my dog and saved us a trip to Reno (from SLT). Due to the attack, I was an emotional wreck and my dog in pain. Dr. Ghuman and his staff were so great from the moment we walked in the door. He calmly explained the procedures and put me at ease that my boy was in great hands. I’m so thankful for Agate Bay, Dr. Ghuman and his staff. Tahoe needed a vet practice as caring and accommodating as this one, especially one offering emergency services.

Agate Bay is worth the drive to Tahoe Vista from South Lake Tahoe.”

“This darling shop is the best because of the owner Michelle she is friendly beyond friendly and she is the most knowledgeable of all the dog people I know! And her prices are the same as the Reno big box pet stores! We are blessed to have her in Tahoe !”
