“This is going to be wordy, but I think it’s important to highlight my experience from start to finish. I moved from California to Colorado about 6 years ago. In California, talented artists are handed to you on a silver platter, but here in Colorado, you really have to do your homework. There are only a handful of truly talented artists out here, and most of them are locked behind corporate-feeling studios. When I found Conclave Art Studio, I thought I might be running into the same “corporate” vibe, but I immediately fell in love with the artwork, so I submitted an inquiry. Jeremiah’s wife, Jaime, contacted me within a few hours and was responsive and super friendly. A few days before my appointment, Jeremiah reached out and helped me dial in the concept I was going for (I had multiple tattoos that I was looking to cover with one large piece… which is a challenge when it comes to design, but he nailed it). When I got to the studio on my appointment day, I was met with a super relaxing, clean, private environment. For such a talented, high demand artist, Jeremiah was so down to earth, it felt like I’d known him for years! Without me having to say a word, he was aware of my pain levels throughout the session and took measures to make me as comfortable as possible. I have a couple sessions left to go before the piece is done, but I already know that this is going to be my absolute favorite piece of art on my body (his talent is off the charts)!!! “I got tattooed by the owner, Danielle, and I love my tattoos. I went with my partner for a Friday the 13th special, and everyone was so sweet to us. If you go on a Friday the 13th- I recommend lining up before opening to secure your spot!

“I recently did a guest spot at this shop, and what an incredible experience! The shop manager, Matt, went above and beyond to get me fully set up before I even walked in the door. Literally all I needed to bring was my machine, needles, and ink — they provided everything else and were incredibly accommodating. They even welcomed my client (who arrived way before I did) and had him all set up with paperwork and ready to go by the time I got there.
On top of that, it was such a cool feeling to tattoo out of the oldest tattoo shop in the United States. The history in the space is absolutely incredible. When you first walk in you already can tell it’s unlike other shops. I used to have shop anxiety because you walk into a tattoo shop with no receptionist and five guys tattooing just staring at you. Here, there is always someone there to welcome and help you, whether it’s the receptionist or an artist.

Tattooing - I’ve seen Donny 2x now and he’s done 5 of my tattoos. He is such a cool dude, worked with me on my last design until I was fully satisfied. No pressure to even get tattooed let alone choose a tattoo in a rushed way. I’ve been satisfied with all my work and the aftercare was great! Tattoos healed well.

In general-shop vibes are great as well. Even the artists that I didn’t get work from were so kind and ready to yap it up and show their work. It’s been relatively affordable especially considering such a good location! Donny gave me an estimate right when we talked about what I was thinking so no financial surprises.
