My daughter has pretty long nails and her 12th birthday is coming up and she wanted to have the characters Bluey and Bingo painted on her nails with some puppy accents on the other nails. Fatima was her artist and not only was she incredibly sweet, she made my young daughter feel really comfortable, and made the whole experience really fun. My daughter could not stop smiling. “I was almost not going to get a pedicure while visiting Santa Cruz but I’m so glad I came to Tropical nails! I can’t express enough how amazing my pedicure was. I really appreciate how much time and detail and precision went into just the prep of the nails before getting painted. I felt so relaxed and taken care of and got to leave with a beautiful pedicure. My feet weren’t bad just needed a clean up.
Really appreciate the calm atmosphere and didn’t feel rush at all.
He was so gentle on my feet and I loved how he did my nails ? almond shape but a little sharper.
I loved how he took his time and payed attention to detail. I loved loved how my nails came out that I just left them a natural hue of pink and I came in with a different idea decided at the end to go more natural and just love them.
Not too thick and they feel like if there were my real nails.
I feel this will be my new nail spot !

“The place was clean and nice. The ladies there were very polite and friendly. My girlfriend took me for my birthday and we both enjoyed it. Got a pedicure and she also got her nails done. The massages were excellent. Feet and hands felt relaxed. Very happy with the results and the professionalism.“

“Friend and I made first visit to J Bella's recently and had a very pleasant experience. We made an appt and were greeted right away. There were two other patrons, and I believe three nail techs working. Seating and massage chair comfortable, foot soak with sanitary liner. Our salon techs were friendly and communicative. I would usually have brief conversation with them, and certainly ask their name, but my friend and I were so enjoying catching up that we were quite chatty with each other. The pedicure was done with care and end quality excellent. The leg massage and wrap very comfortable. I'm giving this five stars simply because there isn't any reason to downgrade from that, despite that it's a simple, but not elegant salon. It's well situated in a popular middle class shopping center and the basic pedicure charge of $30 was very reasonable, given comparable prices elsewhere. We both will definitely visit again.“

“I really like this place. They’ve updated it recently with brand new massage chairs. They take extra time to work on my teen daughter’s ingrown toenail. Used to go all the way to Capitola but they never helped her ingrown nail. We always walk in and they have been able to accommodate us. Quiet and relaxing.“

“If you're looking for a solid spot that delivers quality, lasting gel manicures and has professional and trained staff this is your spot. I'm consistently in and out in under an hour. Gels are lasting me 3 weeks. I don't make appointments, I just walk in. The longest I've waited is 15 minutes which is fine with me bc there's a Starbucks in Target to get a drink while I wait. I get different staff each time and they're all great.“
