Dr. Roden was absolutely amazing—she’s so knowledgeable, and friendly, She put my mind at ease. I have cataracts, she explained my options, made recommendations.
I’ll definitely be coming here from now on. I previously went to Helm Vision. I had issues with my glasses. They wanted to charge a $100 restocking fee just to change them, and after I’d already paid at my appointment, I received another unexpected $26 bill for a service I didn’t know about. Big difference in care and transparency!“

I am a Nurse Practitioner for 30 years and have never had an an Optometrist take the extra time to so thoroughly exam and test my eyes for conditions in my family history like glaucoma, cataracts and retinal detachment. “I accidentally sat on my glasses. I drove one mile from my house to the Porter Ranch Walmart Optometry dept. I walked in an sat down where the girl employee was sitting. I told her that I sat on my glasses and badly bent the frames.. She took them into the back room and came out one minute later and my glasses were perfectly straight. NO CHARGE. “This was my 1st visit to Mission Family Optometry and it was better than what I had expected. I was greeted and acknowledged as soon as I entered :) Staff member explained to me what we would be doing today, she informed me of what my insurance covered and also of my co-pays , she made everything (in financial perspective) very clear and i felt comfortable proceeding with the appointment.
