I shopped around. We'd already done the memorial services , just wanted to put the cremains in a reasonable, accessable niche - nothing flashy, not columbarium. This is in a safe area, pleasant breeze even on hit smoggy days. We will enjoy visiting. Never thought I'd actually look forward to ohakamairi.
This is for Patrick that works in the office.Today I had an appointment to have the marker placed for my mother.I got there and it was already placed!I went upstairs and basically nobody knew what has happened and why it was placed without us being present.Patrick the only person from the office came to give me hugs and trying to fix it by offering many suggestions to have a canopy and chairs, cleaning the marker, flowers…..He explained that it was mistake and unfortunately there was nothing to do.Thank you Patrick for being good person ???????????
What an extraordinary experience we had with our visit yesterday. My second great grand parents are interned in the cemetery. They settled in Santa Monica circa 1885. My wife and I are in our mid 70's. We had a most gracious staff member help us locate the grave sites from circa 1920. We traveled a rather long distance, so was a bit concerned when another post stated the bathroom were not in good order. The bathroom is old which is true, but clean and well stocked. I have been wanting to visit for many years. Thank you Santa Monica for providing an exceptional visit and for providing an exceptional staff.
