About Avalon Santa Monica on Main
Avalon Santa Monica on Main is a modern apartment community offering a high-quality living experience. The staff is known for their exceptional service and dedication to creating a comfortable and effortless lifestyle for residents. Multiple residents have praised the staff's friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond to assist with any needs. The management team, including Amine and Rashad, has been consistently helpful, responsive, and kind, making the leasing process smooth and stress-free. The complex features a two-level townhouse with a washer & dryer, air conditioning, garage parking, a terrace, and two small balconies to enjoy the weather. There is also a rooftop pool and a small gym, which residents find very nice, especially the pool. Although the area can be noisy and chaotic because it is in the city, residents feel the place is pretty safe. The location is very walk-able, close to the beach and right on Main Street. Some residents prefer not to live on the 1st floor, but others enjoy the access to the roof and patio space. The complex has a charming courtyard and large planters with succulent plants, although some plants need better care. Most neighbors are good, including families, couples, and young professionals, and the community is mostly quiet, with a few units rented out for Air B & B or vacationers. Residents appreciate the overall beauty of the complex, though packages can sometimes get stolen, and management could improve signage for delivery drivers. Maintenance has improved recently with the hiring of Dylan, who responds quickly and fixes issues efficiently, making residents happier. The staff, including those responsible for property maintenance, work hard to ensure a positive living experience, and residents feel the community is worth the price.
I’ve had a great experience with the management team at my apartment complex, especially Amine and Rashad. They have been consistently helpful, responsive, and professional whenever I’ve had a question or needed assistance.
I have not rented in over 50 years. The paperwork was overwhelming. Amine Alaoui was so kelpful in navigating the process. It’s been two months and I’ve been very happy here. He is always considerate, kind and so helpful. He is an asset to the Avalon team.
We've been here about 5 months & like living here. You can't beat the location. It's so close to the beach and right on Main Street, so it's very walk-able. Despite there being a lot of tourist & homeless people in the area, it feels pretty safe. It's a city, not a suburb so there is some chaos & noise, but nothing to crazy. I would NOT live on the 1st floor. Our apartment is nice, it's a 2 level townhouse with a washer & dryer, air conditioning & garage parking. It also has a great terrace and 2 small balconies to enjoy the beautiful weather. There is a roof top pool & a small gym, which are both nice, especially the pool. Obviously, it's way too expensive, but if you're reading this you probably already know that! Overall, compared to other overpriced apartments it is worth it. When we moved in we read reviews that mentioned bugs, but we have not seen any. The one problem we have had, that we read about in reviews, is packages getting stolen. I do wish management would put more signs up, so the delivery drivers know that they MUST put things in the proper package room and NOT inside the front door, where they keep getting stolen. I think the complex is pretty. There is a little courtyard in the middle of the building and most apartments have access to the roof & have patio space up there. They have some nice big planters with succulent plants in them, throughout the complex & on the roof. Sadly, most of the plants in the planters have been dying, which is such a shame, because if they watered them, it would make the space really beautiful. I'm referring to the ones in the public spaces, the ones on the balconies of the apartments seem well taken care of. Hopefully management can hire a landscaper like most apartment complexes do, because whoever designed the building did a great job, and clearly those huge planters were a big part of the design. I work with plants so I notice these things. The neighbors seem good so far. Some families, some couples, some young professionals etc. You do get your typical LA snubbing, with a few exceptions, but that is just LA. There are definitely a few units being rented out for Air B & B or something. I know this because I've talked to the vacationers at the pool & in the hallway when they were asking for directions to the garage, but it's not a big deal, we haven't seen any wild parties or debauchery, Ha! Ha! I've had very little interaction with the office staff so far, but they seem nice. They split their time between 2 properties, so they keep busy. When we first moved in, we noticed some things that had been overlooked or not completed by maintenance before our move in time, so we put requests in to get them fixed. One of our sliding doors didn't lock, we had trim missing from the kitchen cabinets, our bathroom towel rack was coming out of the wall & the blinds for our sliding doors (3 of them) all had large black paint marks on them. Maintenance fixed the lock on our sliding door right away which is great, but then they just never responded to any of the other request. When we inquired weeks later, he would tell us that they had to order parts or that he would follow up with us later, but he never did....for 3 1/2 months! It wasn't great & we were bummed. But then, last month, a new maintenance guy was hired, I think his name is Dylan, and he's done a great job! He fixed stuff, ordered parts & has arranged for different vendors to come out. He responds right away, follows up with everything and seems really nice & very professional. So now we are pretty happy living here and would definitely recommend it! Hopefully this post helps. I posted some pictures below too!
