I was here about 3 years ago. I joined fresh from a rec league at 7 years old. Coach Yang really developed my passion for soccer as well as training the fundamentals which allowed the base for me to now play at a very high level. Overall I loved this club but I believe it is better for younger children as they don’t have access to higher levels.

AAYSA has been a fantastic place for my son to develop his passion for soccer in the last 4 years, and he has made many friends and learned valuable skills during his time with Coach Yang and other coaches. We are proud of his progress and achievements. The club has a strong community of players, parents, and supporters who are all dedicated to the success and enjoyment of the game. My family and I are so grateful to be part of this beautiful community.

My son really likes the club. He loves playing soccer after he joined the summer camp last year. He changed a lot after joining the club. He became stronger, more social, and we made a lot of friends. All the coaches in the pod and team we met are very responsible and professional. Nowadays, Aaysa is one part of my son's life. He really enjoyed working with his team and coach.

I highly recommend the club, the coaches are very experienced and patient, can give different exercise methods according to different children, to maximize the potential of children. Scientific training methods, patient and rigorous teaching attitude have made great progress for the children! In particular, we were deeply moved by coach Yang's insistence on guiding the children in every training and competition despite her injury. My child has been learning Soccer here for more than half a year, and his physical strength and confidence have been greatly improved. Especially, he has found a group of like-minded friends. We are very glad to join the club! We are willing to grow with the club and hope that more and more kids can join us!

I had the misfortune of encountering this organization when I signed up my son for a referee course. Many soccer clubs sponsor referee courses with the California North Referee Association and hold an in person field session in their locality. Students can select any of these courses based on time and location. After dozens of students were legitimately registered for the AAYSA Palo Alto course, paid the fees and even started online training, AAYSA told us to leave the course. Even though the course was still open for more students, somehow AAYSA wanted to restrict the course to only their members. They sent multiple messages asking us to leave. They gave no information on how to transfer online learning credits or how to get a refund. Many of the registered students are just kids. Several replied to say they didn't know what to do and asked for more instruction. AAYSA gave no further help to the students they were ejecting. A few days went by, AAYSA must have realized most of the student were just ignoring their messages. Then, the day before the field session, they tried to deter us by saying they would levy an additional fee at the field but didn't what what the fee would be. Later I found out from CNRA official and the referee instructor that AAYSA was wrong to try and do any of those things. It was not a private event and they can't levy additional fees after students register. AAYSA must have figured it out eventually because they gave us no trouble at the field. I'm just sorry if there are students who abandoned the field session. This is youth soccer. It's just a bunch of kids playing for fun and exercise. Why is AAYSA so unfriendly and exclusionary? Is this the mindset I want to expose my children to? AAYSA label themselves "community service and non profit". Then why try to eject registered students when there was enough space for your own members and why try to levy additional fees? I'm taking the time to write this lengthy review because I happen to be Asian myself, I find AAYSA's behavior to be embarrassing and shameful. If AAYSA's excuse is that they are a non profit, let me just say that non profit is a legal and tax designation. Stanford university is a non profit, so is the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Metropolitan Opera. Being non profit is no excuse for being poorly informed, disorganized, greedy and exclusionary.

No doubt the coaches are very nice and patient. But the management team is lack of experience. We paid for max 6 people pod, but they keeping adding trial kids into our pod without notification, even coaches were not aware of. According to the management team, they don't have enough staff to manage the complaints. So all of our complaints are ignored. And the referral credit is not returned as promised. They don't take any kid born after 2017. And we don't have intention to extend the class. The class is more expensive but we don't get the equivalent service.

Not recommend at all. This place advertised to have max 6 people pod and we signed up for 6 kids. We have two coaches at first. And they tried to add trial students to our pod twice. We felt uncomfortable and complained to the coach. (We understand they have more students on waiting list, but we chose this academy because we want our small pod to train together and we have a full class) They separated kids into two groups and had one coach for each group for the rest of our classes. The owner came at last session and asked parents to understand they are non profit. They pay low so their staff won't reply our complaint online timely.( we complained a month ago and didn't hear anything back yet.) The owner said their coaches don't like to teach little kids. So they are losing coaches because of kids born after 2017. ( So our fault to sign up for 4 year-old? Why did you take 4 year-old in the first place?) And owner said they never promised not to add students. (This class is 4-6 students. Each session $45 if 4 students and $35 if there are 6 students. Why do you add students to a full class without parents' permission?) The owner kept saying they didn't start this non profit organization to make money and asked parents to understand them. It's none of our business. We want a small, steady pod which is what they advertised. That's it. Nothing about the coaches. Coaches are nice. Very bad organization. Owner didn't apologize. Just kept asking parents to understand. We don't think they will make changes based on what owner said. Never come back.
