Usually I do a lot of research before major purchases. The system is a crossover, using an outdoor heat pump set for cooling only, running through a conventional coil over a dual fuel capable gas furnace. This allows the lowest cost energy sourcing (gas for heating, electric for cooling.)
It also allows for relatively easy modification in the future should governments ban natural gas or market forces make electricity more advantageous.
And it is a soft start, low noise system, smart enough to vary fan speed to current needs - much less noisy than the old system.
