I've been going to Michelle at Barnet's Salon on 16th in the Mission for years, she was even my covid-times stylist, and she's consistently excellent. I've worn both short and long styles during this time knowing her and she's equally skilled with both. She listens closely when you have something specific in mind, but she's also great at choosing what suits you if you give her some creative freedom, her instincts are spot on. Reliable, talented, and easy to work with. Highly recommend if you're looking for a stylist in the Mission you can stick with long-term.
Just got another cut/style from Michele Simmerer at Barnets. It's a great shop, cute neighborhood, easy to get to, and Michele does a fantastic job. I get a lot of compliments on my hair and it always grows out really well. She works with me to understand what look I want, and never fails to give me a great cut. Now my partner goes to her too - his hair is super curly and she does a great job with his hair too! She's the best!
Andrea is amazing. She does a great job listening to me and then she takes the time to explain in detail whether what I'm asking for is doable or not given my hair texture. I look forward to my visits and I get so many compliments. The other day I got a compliment on a zoom call.
