Rooms are comfortable, a little old but they keep them nice and clean. The staff in every area was very helpful, respectful, and kind. They have piano music on Saturday nights at the lobby. The location is quite convenient if you are attending a baseball game.
This is a beautiful historic hotel with a lot of character and charm.
In the mornings, complimentary tea and coffee are available in the lobby, which was a nice touch. The refrigerator in our room was not working and did not keep anything cold, but the staff promptly brought us a replacement late at night, which we appreciated.

It looks like blood on there.

I travel every week for work and have stayed everywhere from the Four Seasons to the Aloft. The Grant Hotel is older, but it has figured out something many newer properties haven’t: the details that actually matter.
Delivered ice. Turndown service. Extra waters in the room. A water kettle. Outlets at the nightstand. Real shower pressure. Counter space in the bathroom. A shower that doesn’t leak onto the floor.
none of it earth shattering, but if you travel frequently, you know exactly what I mean. Rivals high-end Japanese hotels in terms of their detail.
Stay here.
