And they're open on Saturdays. This is by far the best dry cleaners I've ever gone to and I would encourage to get sloppy at your next cocktail party so you can see what I mean. “Carla at Tailor Love was so incredible to work with for my wedding dress alterations. Her professional demeanor and knowledge of her craft was very impressive. We had 4 fittings over the course of several months and she even held onto my dress and steamed everything for me before the big day so I didn’t have to worry.

Throughout the alterations process she made suggestions that I wouldn’t have thought of! For example, I was hesitant to shorten my straps because I didn’t want to raise the neckline of my dress, but I also didn’t want them to slip down all night. Tailor Love suggested adding a clear grippy piece to the inside that allowed me to keep the length I wanted and solve my slipping straps problem. Similarly I had lace gloves I didn’t want slipping down, but I liked the loose fit and she used this same solution to keep them up. My dress fit PERFECTLY on my wedding day, was comfortable, and I didn’t have to mess with anything or be distracted by my dress on the big day! She also did the perfect bustle that wasn’t visible - I was impressed because my dress style had a deep slit on one leg.

“As a mature professional in San Diego I have gotten together with and broken up with so many dry cleaners over the years. I have been with 5th Avenue and Hasan for nearly 20 years. They are honorable (money left in my pocket gets stapled to my order), accurate with their work (never lost a shirt or clothing item), and respectful (they call if they see something out of the ordinary like a missing button and let you know they will replace it or a severe stain that they might have to try some aggressive cleaning agents and want your approval.) The other day I went by to pick up my clothes and Hasan the owner was confronted with a very agitated homeless person while I was at the front desk. The guy asked for a coke on this hot day. Rather than freaking out, or trying to toss this guy out, Hasan went to the back and grabbed a cold water and a couple of bags of sun chips. Just so kind. This is the kind of people they are at 5th Avenue. I have lived downtown, in Point Loma, and now La Jolla. I will always drive downtown and use 5th Avenue. They have earned my loyalty and I wish them nothing but success and will do everything I can to contribute to it.“
