Nancy has been doing my hair for over a year. I travel 30 miles to see her. She is an expert. She explains what she’s doing during the process and, I have learned so much about my hair. I come in with inspiration pictures, and other times we create something unique. Either way, I know I’m in good hands.

The Portal Salon is a wonderful Latina owned salon tucked away in Hillcrest. The design is simple but well executed: the colors contrast delightfully again the creamy white of the walls. Foliage accents the room, though the most notable aspect of the salon are the seats: white swivel lounge chairs with rocking red faux leather upholstery that catch the eye nicely. I've know the owner, Nancy Fuchs since 2018. I met her while I working at a small market in Golden Hill. She gave me her information and then rest is past. Amanda is amazing at what she does, I’m so happy I found her! I’ve gone to her for a haircut & for fun dyed colors and she does everything I ask but even better than imagined. I’m excited to have her as my go-to hair gal. She’s super sweet & fantastic at her job, I highly recommend!!Services: Haircut
