7888 Othello Ave, San Diego“I moved my 2/3 pug 1/3 pittie-boxer foster fail love bug (Juan Pablo) from Camp-Run-A-Mutt to Paw Commons for doggy daycare.
Paw Commons has by far been the better experience for our pup. First, there is way more space, a great water feature where the dogs who want to get wet can frolic, and there are way fewer dogs (or simply just way more space for them).
My pup stopped wanting to get out of the car at the former place where at Paw Commons, he is super excited to go and jumps happily out of the car when we arrive.
This speaks volumes of the difference in experience he had. The humans at both places are professional and kind, it just seems like the dogs have a little more room to play, jump up on various things, hide under things and of course engage in water play if they want. 10/10. The owner of Paw Commons is very passionate about providing an amazing experience for the dogs. Perhaps something about being a franchise like Camp-Run-A-Mutt they need to get as many dogs as possible crammed in on any given day.
Attached is a screenshot from the live cam where JP was walking precariously close to the water (which he generally hates, lol) and a pic of our very happy, tired boy when he got home.“

5050 Santa Fe St, San Diego“We were interested in getting a trained Belgium for our property and had been looking for a while - checking out various trainers across the country and landed on Man-K9. Unlike others we’d investigated, Man-K9 were immediately responsive to our inquiry, professional, and so incredibly nice! Additionally, the reviews that we read were all so positive that we decided to schedule an onsite visit. On the day of our visit, we could not have been more impressed. The facilities were clean, the dogs were all happy and well-behaved, and the staff were knowledgeable and passionate about their work.
Mr. Manuel Villanueva, owner/operator/trainer extraordinaire, spent a great deal of time with us, and then handed us over to Lead Trainer (also extremely impressive), Fon Villanueva. After thoroughly discussing our needs during our 1st meeting, they introduced us to a couple of dogs and observed our interaction. I was impressed by the fact they were doing the best thing not just for us, the potential ‘new owners’, but they were also looking to ensure the best fit for the dog.
We needed to wait about a month before bringing home our new family member, U-Yan. Because U-Yan was trained as a protection dog, Fon wanted to ensure that we were equipped with all the knowledge we needed. We spent 2-3 hours with Fon for 3 days ensuring that we were familiar and comfortable with the commands and how to handle the newest member of our family. While the primary goal was education for both humans and dog, the entire experience was interactive, engaging and fun – we really got to know U-Yan, and visa-versa. We had many questions and the Man-K9 team addressed them all.
By the time we were ready to leave, Fon mentioned that he’d be coming up to see us within a few weeks (we don’t live in SoCal) to make sure everything was going well. I joked with my family that this was probably more of a ‘wellness visit’ to ensure we were being good parents to U-Yan and I was completely okay with that! It signaled to me that they were sincerely doing what was best for both us and our new dog. During the time in between, Fon texted a few times to check in and Laurie (she runs things!) checked in via email – both restating that if we needed anything or had any questions to please reach out. On the day of Fon’s visit, it didn’t feel like a ‘wellness check’ for U-Yan, rather more of a 'fine tuning' for the humans - which was truly appreciated!
The entire team at Man-K9 could not have been more professional and a true pleasure to work with – Mr. Villanueva, Fon, Ricky, Laurie – everyone was just fantastic. Their dedication to the animals and their final work product is beyond compare. Add to that their outstanding customer service and you know you’re in good hands! Whether you’re looking for a protection dog, companion dog, obedience training, etc., Man-K9 is the place to go. These folks know their stuff and they are wonderful! Could not be more impressed!“

3951 Texas St, San Diego“My dog Winston, spent a week in training that goes with a 22 week old GoldenDoddle. Winston had not been around other dogs until his training & boarding sessions. Winston was accepted into their home & kennel with wonderfull grace & kindness. Winston was a changed dog behavioral wise to the good. Winston learned & mastered mealy all the needed commands in his stay at their home. It was an amazing transformation of a young puppy into the start of an obedient adult dog partner. Recommend their system & program highly. Thxs EjC.“

4414 33rd St, San Diego“If you want to have the most meaningful relationship with your dog, Gonzalo is the trainer for you! Working with him has been a truly life-changing process for my fiance, me and our dog, Chef.
Chef, our 3 year old lab, has had issues with leash reactivity and anxiety since he was a puppy. Before enlisting Gonzalo’s help, we had seen behaviorists, vets, and multiple dog trainers to try to understand his behavior and why we were unable to even walk around the block without an anxiety episode.
After meeting with Gonzalo, he was able to understand our situation and tailor a training program. While this did require work on our end, the instruction we received from Gonzalo was clear and provided results quickly. Between one on one sessions, Gonzalo also provided group classes, group hikes, and prompt replies to questions and videos on WhatsApp.
Gonzalo has proven to us time and time again that he has a deep understanding of dog behavior and emotions, as well as a passion to improve the bonds between dogs and their owners. Our experiences in the group classes has shown us that Gonzalo does not have a “one size fits all” approach, but rather tailors methods that work best for you and your dog with an emphasis on having clear communication. Whether you have a new puppy or an older dog with a particular issue, you will not be disappointed.
It’s hard to put into words the bond that we now have with Chef. Interacting with him is more than just orders and obedience, it’s clear communication and understanding. He now enjoys walks to the park, fetch, coffee shops, off leash hikes, and much much more. Not only do we feel safer with him, but he seems to be living a much happier life. We truly did not think we would be here. Thank you Gonzalo!“

1612 48th St, San Diego“We are multiple repeat customers. Kari has given our Newfoundland (Masha) a second home when needed, whether for a few hours or days at a time. I have confidence that Masha's care is sound and her environment is extraordinary. She has plenty of room and stimulation both inside and outside. When we arrive, Masha is excited to see Kari and eager to start play with her and her dog. Our only disappointment has been those times that Kari was full and we have had to look elsewhere.“
6:30AM - 7:30PM
2926 Garnet Ave, San Diego“We tried a new dog daycare today and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Bruno had his trial day and it went so well. From the moment we arrived, he seemed comfortable and at ease, which says a lot because he can sometimes be a little hesitant in new environments. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the notes they shared with me at the end of the day were so thoughtful and detailed, it really gave me confidence that they were paying close attention to him throughout the day. It’s such a relief to know he’s in a place where he feels safe, cared for, and happy. I’m really excited for him to go back!“

The staff at the front desk, the doctors, the techs and everyone behind the scenes truly work to give my dogs the best care. They take the time to explain everything I need to know about procedures and medications - and they make a point of getting to know my dogs' specific personalities and needs. Thank you Rancho San Carlos Pet Clinic!“

4375 Twain Ave, San Diego“Our dog loves going to daycare and boarding here! She has separation anxiety so having a reliable and professional daycare has made a huge difference for her and us. The cage free boarding is a good fit for her and she enjoys the other dogs (from what I see in the photos)“
8AM - 5PM
10035 Carroll Canyon Rd Ste D, San Diego“Great flexible training and toolkit for dog owners. Stim/ e collar based training that is faded away in about 3 to 4 weeks for most dogs. Remote collar just becomes a back up safety net for if leash later on. For example hiking yesterday our dog took off after a small deer, called him back and he stopped and flipped around after a collar beep interrupted his chase/prey instinct.“

8AM - 6PM
5050 Santa Fe St, San Diego“After a few months of consistent daycare and a boarding stay, I can confidently say I would recommend Fon Jon to anyone and everyone who needs a place for their furry friends to have some fun. My dogs are always, always happy when we arrive even a block away and are happy as a clam during pick ups too. Being a helicopter mom with rescues, I tried four different highly recommended facilities here in San Diego as well (gotta see them all to find that perfect fit!!) and my dogs truly made the decision for me. I was worried because this is an indoor and outdoor kennel facility and being rescues, you never know how they will respond being back in a place like that but you can tell right away it's nowhere near the same type of an environment & the staff really does care and I see it every single time I'm there! Anthony, Ed, George and Minah are always so loving with every furry friend that comes through and so are the rest of the staff when I see them for pick ups! Being such a high volume facility for a small local business, I just ADORE that they make each dog feel loved and cared for and like a true VIP! That makes the BIGGEST difference (to me). I do advise everyone to shop around and make sure you are exploring all your options because everyone's going to have specific wants and every place really does have something unique to offer, but I can truly see why Fon Jon has been a staple for SO LONG in the industry and San Diego!!!! PROS * Pricing is great for the area & compared to other facilities I visited (especially since they offer a wider variety of play packages - boarding and daycare is a luxury of course so finding reasonable pricing is a push and shove) * They have options for one of my dogs who is not dog friendly so he still gets play time (I've heard his human best friend is Andrea) * Staff is always friendly and inviting * They supply almost everything for boarding so it eases my load (even dog food if needed) * They are VERY thorough with the check in process (sometimes a con if I'm in a rush but overall very important to me personally haha) * Offers cat daycare and boarding too!! * Kind of a 2 in 1 if you need training since they offer training services too - haven't used these yet but have heard good things * I can get basic grooming done here if needed so it's a one stop shop CONS * Wish they had a live cam but Staff had very understandable and reasonable explanations for not having so * LOTS of paperwork and less digital filing or portals but I'm ok with that (haven't had any issues so far) and appreciate the thoroughness more often than not * Not as modern as other places but aesthetics are the least of my concerns if my dogs are happy * Parking... but only bad if you come during peak pick up/drop off times * Really want more activity on social media!! ): OVERALL : 9.5/10 Thank you For Jon!!“

“Grant’s professionalism was top notch. I can’t say enough good things about Grant with the Noble Dogs! He completely transformed my dog’s behavior. Before training, walks were stressful and obedience was hit or miss — now my dog listens, focuses, and is so much calmer overall.
Grant is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what he does. He explained everything in a way that made it easy for me to keep the training consistent at home. You can really tell he cares about both the dog and the owner’s success.
If you’re looking for someone who gets real results and truly understands dogs, I highly recommend Grant with the Noble Dogs. Worth every penny!“
