I have been bringing my kids here for 2 years now. I love that it is traditional karate and not just self defense or MMA. The monthly cost is more than reasonable and is on a pay-as-you-go basis. No long contracts, overcharging or automatic deductions here, just honest, up front pricing for a quality education. This is a female run dojo, so girls and boys can feel comfortable learning karate here.I see the results my kids are receiving like discipline, confidence and self defense. They are even learning Japanese language in their class! I highly recommend this place! All 3 of my teen children have made it through this rigorous and supportive environment. They began at age 6 and it was a part of their daily lives through teenage years. I believe this provided them with the foundation necessary to dig in their heels to complete any challenge in life. The instructors at Japan Karate-do San Diego are top notch in karate ability and leadership. They become like family in supportive means yet still professional and never falter in expectations.10/10! I have been coming to this dojo for almost 3 years. I started at age 39! Our adult group is the best! Top notch Sensei’s that have invested in my training. I competed in tournament against people 15 years younger than me and won 1st place. The best karate training in town.
