Adam was so helpful and kind! Made time around the holiday and a busy schedule to fix my freezer issue. Was in and out in no time and fixed my Whirlpool freezer when a handful of other vendors weren’t able to. Can’t thank Adam enough for how kind, accommodating, and skilled he was! Our relatively new (less than 5 yrs) KitchenAid started acting up; it would stop refrigerating for a couple of days, start up again for a few days, then start up again for several days, then off again. I called Gormsen's in PB who told me they no longer had a refrigeration technician but referred all such requests to Econo and gave me their number. Irene scheduled an appt. for Adam to come out several days later, having provided her my refrig. model # and the error message that was being displayed. What impressed me the most was that he contacted me PRIOR to the appt. to ask a few more questions and had me try a few diagnostic tests. On the day of the appt. he called 30 minutes out to let me know he was on the way. Once here, he explained that KitchenAid had become highly dependent on electronics and circuit boards and our refrig. had 6-7 boards, any one of them could be responsible for the problem. After inspecting several areas and circuit board boards, he solved the problem without having to replace any of the board(s), which would have been expensive. As noted by other reviewers, Adam was professional, efficient, customer focused and HONEST. I have given his card out to friends and neighbors that might need a service technician with those qualifications. This is a family-owned and operated business so when you deal with Adam and Irene you are not just dealing with an employees but the owners as well.
My KitchenAid refrigerator ice maker stopped working so I called Econo. Adam came out a few days later which fit with both of our schedules and swiftly diagnosed the problem. I was going to need a new ice maker. It was a Monday and he came back on Thursday with the new one, installed it and even tightened up the handle on my freezer door! He went above and beyond and I appreciated that. I will definitely use Econo the next time I have an issue with an appliance.
