Lucy had an abscess tooth and received excellent care. Affordable fees. Nice people. We are very pleased with our experience here. Will drive from Oceanside any time Lucy needs medical care in the future.

Two of my cats were recommended a dental cleaning during their yearly check up at a different pet hospital. The estimate came up much higher than what I expected, so I decided to consult another vet and get a second opinion. After looking up and reading the online reviews, I decided to take them to Bernardo Heights Veterinary Hospital. I had a very good first impression and their estimate was definitely more reasonable and realistic. I also very much appreciate the fact that they are AAFP Certified and have a separate area for cats.Both cats had their dental cleaning and one of them needed a couple of extractions. So far so good. First time chosing this vet. I had my pup dental cleaning with many extractions. Everything was explained what would happen during the cleaning. My dog is 11yrs and I was concerned. She did great and was alert when picked up. Staff called the next day to check on her. She did eat that night and gobbled up her food the next day. She's on pain medication as well as antibiotics. Taking them with no issue
