Decent gym, decent value, and friendly people and staff. However, the men's bathroom is kinda gross. The area near the urinals needs to be mopped more often. Also, there's usually a small wait to get a squat rack and cables during peak hours. It's be great if they could fit additional equipment to reduce wait times.
When this location first opened, I would give it 5 Stars. It is slowly becoming like it's sibling gym 1 mile away in Rancho Penasquitos. Treadmill plastic front has layers of dust. Men's bathroom, especially the urinals and sinks, are disgusting. Need to straddle urinal to avoid stepping in urine.I go workout about 3x weekly and have never seen the bathroom cleaned or in clean condition.In the past I was member of Chuze in Rancho Bernardo and LA Fitness in 4S Ranch. Both facilities, especially Chuze was always clean. Their staff went around hourly cleaning. At 24 Hour Fitness, staff only concerned in new members and private lessons. Carmel Mountain location is very kept up plenty of cardio equipment, great selection of weights and machines to get the job done. A good vibe from all the other members everyone looking to improve and polite. Very happy with this location ?
