Overall the best doctors are trained by Sutter Health here in Midtown Sacramento CA. I've had one that left for home, and another that I refuse to let go & leave. Lol, kidding. Anyway I love the staff equally and you will be glad to try this office and they have babied me all along. They are so patient, it's like a scary movie but then you find out they are for real! I've been here since 2021 with this office and staff.

This review is of the Family Medicine Residency clinic. For certain Sutter primary care doctors you can be assigned to see the family medicine resident years 1-3. The resident trainees are very thoughtful and friendly and easy to get appointments. So basically you can use this clinic like urgent care. HOWEVER, if you want a relationship with a doctor for real health issues and convenient maintenance care then this clinic should be avoided. No provider will respond to your online my health app communications. And the phone service for Sutter is mind numbing, you will never get in touch with your provider or medical office. Please know that there is a shortage of Primary Care Doctors here with a very long wait time for appts, especially for new patients. There are Residents, but they are always on rotation and dependent on the attending. It's open enroll for many right now and every morning I hear the radio add on choosing Sutter Health so you can have a caring and personal relationship with your doctor. It makes me sad to hear this being advertised as my experience, along with many others that I know, has been short of frustrating and having to go to Urgent Care due to lack of availability with my doctor. Her current next open apt is in Feb 2024. I am not on here to speak badly about Sutter, but just to be honest. I understand that it's systemic and UCD is not even taking new patients right now. I had the best PCP at Sutter years ago and switched back to Sutter last year, hoping for the same level of care. It has been disappointing and overwhelming trying to navigate what is currently in place. Just hoping others are not mislead by the current advertising. Wish I had known! And hope it gets better for all.
