About Mercy Medical Group - Natomas, Primary and Specialty Care

Mercy Medical Group - Natomas, Primary and Specialty Care is a medical group that offers a range of services, including family medicine, primary care, and obstetrics and gynecology. The group has a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including Dr. Ursales, who is described as professional, patient, and thorough in her care. The staff is also commended for being wonderful and kind. However, some reviewers have noted long wait times and difficulty getting appointments, with one reviewer reporting a six-month wait for a basic office visit. Additionally, there have been issues with billing and communication, with one reviewer being billed for an annual physical and having to advocate for themselves to receive timely care. Despite these challenges, many reviewers have reported positive experiences with specific healthcare providers and staff members, such as Dr. Shiu and Michelle, who made a recent procedure feel comfortable and easy. Overall, while Mercy Medical Group - Natomas, Primary and Specialty Care has its challenges, it appears to be a reliable option for healthcare in the Sacramento area.

Gertrude Shiu is absolutely amazing! She took her time with me, thoroughly educated me about my health, and was incredibly kind, compassionate, and friendly throughout the entire visit. Her professionalism and knowledge are outstanding!!! She truly knows her field and goes above and beyond to make you feel heard and cared for.

I’ve visited OBGYN clinics at other medical facilities before, but I’ve never experienced the level of care and attention that I received from Gertrude. She treats you like family, and it’s clear that she genuinely cares about her patients.

I highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-notch care. A++ service!

First of all, I want to say it took me 3 times going back and forth to get an appointment - finally got one this month. The real reason I'm writing this is to say how impressed I was with Dr. Ursales. She took more time with me than I've ever had with a doctor. She was very professional, patient and took the time to go over all my concerns (I did come with a list of them to go over). In other words, she's awesome. Also, the staff is wonderful.

I'm not sure where to begin with reviewing this Natomas medical office. The truth is I've been coming here for years, only because Sutter Health doesn't take my insurance and I have to use Dignity. And in all honesty, most medical offices in Sacramento have terrible reviews, I'm not sure I could get much better elsewhere, and changing providers is a long drawn out headache. I usually get the care I need here but with a massive wait time. I waited 6 months for a referral to go through to a nutritionist and it can also be a 6 month wait for a basic office visit with my PCP. If something is more pressing, like I needed an urgent mammogram, I had to go on cancellation lists and take any appointment I could get at any office in the area, which isn't easy. I really had to self-advocate to be seen anywhere by anyone for something urgent. If you're very sick and need antibiotics or something, you can expect to go to urgent care unless the nurse practitioner can see you, but the odds of seeing your doctor are very slim. Last year they billed me for my annual physical. When I told the Dignity billing office that this was an annual physical and should be free, they said no it was not an annual physical, and they sent it to collections. Someone in this Natomas office entered it as an office visit and not an annual physical and that is their mistake that I have to deal with. In the end, I can stitch together the basic healthcare that I need by seeing the nurse practitioner, going to urgent care at Q St, and waiting the better part of a year for appointments and referrals. My understanding is that this is the state of healthcare everywhere in California, but Dignity health is on the worse end of providers in the area. My husband has Sutter Health, and although the wait times at Sutter are also long, it's much less messy than Dignity.
