About Academy of American Dance
Academy of American Ballet offers progressive dance training for dancers of all ages in a nurturing environment. The studio has been in business for twenty years and boasts an outstanding faculty of teachers. They provide a family-friendly atmosphere with a strong sense of community. Academy of American Ballet hosts an annual Nutcracker performance at the Fox Theater and a June recital. My 12 year old daughter started ballet last year. I was a little worried as most girls start so much younger and ballet studios have a bit of reputation for not being particularly kind. Well this studio is the opposite. It is intentionally inclusive and welcoming. The owner has a mission to create a safe welcoming environment and she has 100% succeeded. I am so grateful to have a place for my daughter that is safe, welcoming, nonjudgemental and provides a healthy environment for her teenage years. It’s a nice place to take your kinds for a summer class and introduce them in a new experience with dancing class. Very clean and professional. The teachers are very good with kids and students!
Our daughter danced at AAD for 9 years and progressed in so many areas including ballet, stage performances, and with budding friendships. Thank you to this studio for celebrating each individual dancer, bringing out their best, and welcoming the community in a seasonal Nutcracker production like no other. We will always be a supporter.
