“Was shocked to see a bad review for Dr. Gary. I have been going to him for 11 of the 14 years my family has lived in Ramona. OK - he is not your typical doctor. Kind of a little hyper, he knows who you are and he cares about you and your family. When I had my eye bandage fall out after PRK surgery (he didn't do the surgery) I was in PAIN. Of course it was 3 a.m He met me in his office and fixed it. How many doctors will get out of bed in the middle of the night. When my daughter had an eye infection and we were waiting for him to open the office in the morning, he wanted to know why we hadn't called the night before. He consistently goes the extra mile for his patients. If you need a last minute appointment, he will fit you into his schedule. He will give you as much time as you need. He knows his stuff and keeps up with current medical developments. He has diagnosed a vitamin deficiency by just looking in my eyes. He has a new, very nice office that he has just moved into. So the clutter of a too small office is gone. Yes, you will find Fox news playing in the waiting room. He is very informed on politics, but I have very opposite views than his. He has always been respectful of our differences. I know he'll change the channel if you ask. I've never seen him in a white lab coat or with a name tag. He will say hello to you in the local Ramona grocery stores and restaurants. He is not your corporate cookie cutter doctor. He is an old fashion, country doctor. He knows you, he helps you and he charges a fair price. So he is not your typical doctor, be glad you found old fashion quality.“
