By the time we bought the home, the attic contained old batt insulation, loose-fill insulation, and several areas with almost no coverage at all. Attic Prime recommended starting with a clean slate. They removed everything, inspected the attic framing, sealed numerous air leaks, and explained how continuous insulation helps maintain more even temperatures throughout the home. During the walkthrough, they also discussed current energy code requirements and how today’s recommended R-values differ from what builders commonly installed years ago. Once the attic was ready, they installed blown-in insulation throughout while making sure ventilation channels remained open. It was refreshing to work with a crew that explained the reasoning behind every recommendation instead of simply telling us what they planned to do.”
