We found OHR on Yelp, and after meeting several other contractors, we decided to go with OHR because we felt a good connection with Smadar and the quote was reasonable. We had the following work done: living room and foyer addition to the front of the house, install a see-through fireplace, relocate home-garage entrance, legalize existing master suite, and re-roof entire house. Smadar estimated 3 months for the work to be completed, and the work was done in exactly 3 months, even with some weather delays and additional scope. We hired Open Hand Remodeling to convert our garage to a studio space at the recommendation of a friend and we were so glad we did! Smadar was the project manager and an absolute pleasure to work with. It ended being a bigger job than we thought because of structural issues with the garage, but Smadar kept us informed and in the loop every step of the way. We had to do some extensive retrofitting, remove a large tree that was causing structural damage, and level out the entire structure (due to the tree root damage) and Smadar brought in an engineer to asses and make sure everything was done to code.
