Prices are reasonable and I appreciate the free parking. It's usually a packed house but it's super chill (I've been to similarly packed salons where it feels like chaos).“

My friend follows Crystal on social media and sent me her page. She was booked up but I still wanted a manicure desperately before I go on a mini birthday get away. I had no idea what I wanted. My OG nail girl always picked for me and always slayed.

Even though it’s late October I’m not ready for fall nails so I requested beachy lol.

Shape is cute and color way looks good. True test is if they last and how my cuticles look in the days to come.

“I've been here 3 times now and each time I'm pretty satisfied with the service. I think there are distinct pros and cons for all their nail techs that did my nail but in general, I think this is a reliable spot. I do want to note that it is on the pricier side but I never leave the place hating my nails. 1st visit (GelX Purple French tip w/ extra white line) - Forgot to ask for Nail Tech's name - Cost: ~ $120 (I don't remember the exact amount) - This was probably the BEST nail set I've ever had. I opted for GelX because my nails, at the time, were very brittle and short. The nail tech did an amazing job as this set lasted more than a month and still looks really good. The application was so detailed that everything stayed in tack with no chipping even after 2 months later (although at this point they were very grown out. I just didn't have time to take them off while traveling). I really wish I got her name (I'm hoping they see this so they can let me know their name and I can book them again). Every french tip double line was hand drawn. The only down side to this set was that it took 4 hours because she was so detailed on the prep for the Gel X. 2nd visit (GelX French tip with pink/ red hearts) - Nail Tech: Elena - Cost: $130 + tip - My experience with Elena is also so good. She was more talkative and would even ask me which korean drama I wanted to watch in case I got bored. I think her prep was not as good as the first tech, but the nails also lasted a reasonable amount of time. I also loved how knowledgeable she was about nails and was able to advise me to make the best choice when choosing Gelx/hard gel/ soft gel for my next visit. 3rd visit (Regular Gel Neutral nail + 2 finger w/ glitter) - Nail Tech: Leah - Cost: $60 + tip - I called the day of and Leah was able to squeeze me in last minute. I think the way she shapes my nail is perfect and makes my nails look so flattering. I do want to note that I also don't think she is great at design. She's not as talkative (which I don't mind at all) but there are sometimes when I have a hard time understanding what she is asking. I originally called asking for a gel only manicure but when I arrived, I did ask if she was able to do a simple design. She initially said no, (which I was okay with) but towards the end she attempted to do this simple zigzag design on my index finger. After a couple of tries she let me know she couldn't do it. I would have been find with having no design but the only thing is, she already painted a "design" with glitter on my ring finger so I had to commit to something on the index finger or else it would look odd. I kind of just let it go and ended up having glitter on 2 fingers. I kind of wish she just said she couldn't do it from the beginning. She was talking to the other tech in Chinese saying "The customer thinks the design is simple, but it's hard. They don't understand. I just told her we don't have this glitter". Lastly, I think she also had a bit of a heavy hand. During nail prep, she is a bit more rough. The side of my nails do feel a bit inflamed, not enough where I got cut, but enough for you to kind of see it being red on camera. The service was also on the faster side. This whole set took about an hr.“

“I was skeptical when I saw this business had 4.5 stars on Yelp, but it lives up to its billing. Service is friendly and professional, rates are reasonable, and my nail tech did a beautiful job, all with minimal attempts to upsell. They offer free drinks, and the background piano music is so soothing. The parking lot is small so get there early and hopefully you will find a spot.“

“I want to gatekeep this place so badly because it's next to my house and I never have an issue getting in. I've visited twice already and ask for Christina. SHE IS SOOOO GOOD. I don't think I could stop raving about her work. She's super detail oriented and her designs are so adorable. I came in and requested an unknowingly detailed design and she took 2.5 hrs to work on my hands and never got lazy. She's also really gentle when handling my cuticles. I've been cut by so many others but she was always cautious to check if she's hurting me. Her work ethic is amazing. I felt so bad for making her draw for so long but she was so kind about it. I hope Sun Nail realizes what a gem she is!!

I will continue to return and tell all my family and friends about this place. Small businesses with amazing staff is always rare!

“Have been coming here for 5years since moving into the neighborhood. Dian and her loyal staff have always been kind, diligent in their work and reasonably priced. They’ve seen me through marriage, a pregnancy and are always so comforting and warm. If you like fancy shmancy salons this is not your place. They keep it simple and to be honest i appreciate that. I enjoy the peace and quiet and quality time i get to spend alone and away from my home.“

“Tecumsah was amazing, I called her for a very last minute wash and dry last week and she was so kind enough to work me into her schedule. It did require going to a different location than the salon but that didn't matter because she did a wonderful job with my hair and even styled it up for me. Also my hair felt amazing afterwards even after a second wash!“

“Excellent pedicure! I got the Special Pedicure ($40) that includes callus removal and a five minute massage, and was so impressed by the attention to detail and impeccable service. The young lady made my feet so smooth and soft, while the polish and shape of the nails are perfect. I did have to ask her to round my nails after she had already made them square and she kindly changed them.“

“I have a theory: if a restaurant can make a good French fry, they can make good food. Same goes for nails, if a salon can do a clean, short almond French set, you can trust them with anything. I'm very picky about my nails because cute nails are one of my few little joys, so when I spend money, I want them done right.

Benny absolutely nailed it. This neutral short almond French set is exactly what I wanted. His attention to detail is next level. From the nail prep to the shaping to the gel application, everything was clean, precise, and done with care. As a brown girl, I also really appreciated that he picked a neutral shade that actually matched my skin tone instead of the usual too-pink colors.

The vibe in the salon was super chill, clean, and welcoming. As a former beautician I can tell they follow all state board regulations for cleanliness which is surprisingly rare. I let Benny know I didn't want to talk much (nail time is my quiet time) and he totally respected that without making it weird. And when I did want to chat, he was so kind and easy to talk to. They'll offer you extras, but they're not pushy, and their gel color wall is massive chrome, glitter, magnetic, jelly, everything. (indecisive girlies beware)

Long story short: worth every penny. I've officially found my go-to nail spot. Thank you, Benny!“
