About Lumina Academy of Arts

Lumina Academy of Arts offers a variety of dance classes, including salsa and belly dance. Salsa instructors are experienced and patient, helping students learn even with little prior experience. Belly dance classes are taught by knowledgeable and passionate instructors who create a welcoming environment for all levels and backgrounds. Instructors emphasize both technique and the history and origins of the dances, ensuring students have a well-rounded learning experience.

I’ve been taking basic salsa with Arlene for a year (then slowly started intermediate), and it’s been such a joy!

The environment: welcoming and positive, and Everyone who shows up is fun! There’s a small group of regulars that are inviting and friendly and so positive.

Arlene: lovely! Gives great individual feedback and helpful tips that make a huge difference. She’s attentive to each of the students. Also overall, her teaching style is easy to follow! Her choice of music is also great.

We worked with Arlene for some tips and tricks for a wedding first dance. She was patient, encouraging, and kept things nice and simple for us! And charged a fair price.
